ACC Library Show – Updated!

Note: Submissions for the library show have ended. Contributors should have received an email with follow-up information!

APG is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a group photography show at the Athens-Clarke County Library from April 28 through June 23, 2024. Prints will be exhibited in the Quiet Gallery on the second floor, which can accommodate approximately 34 framed prints. An opening reception is also being planned.

Active APG members (i.e. people who have been participating in APG Lyndon House meetings and the APG Facebook group) are invited to contribute 1 or 2 prints for consideration. We will try to accommodate at least 1 print per contributor as space allows. To participate, please email JPEG versions of the image(s) you would like to display to athenspg@gmail.com by February 9, 2024, and include the following information for each file:

• Artist Name (as you’d like it displayed)
• Image title
• Medium (e.g. inkjet print, metal, canvas, acrylic)
• Print dimensions (as framed)
• Contact email
• Price (or NFS if not for sale)

Note that the library will not handle sales directly, so potential buyers will contact you via email and you will need to arrange payment and delivery. The digital images will be used to select prints if too many submissions are received, and to create a show guide for the exhibit.

Everyone who exhibits will also need to fill out an Exhibition Agreement form (download here) and bring a signed copy to the February 27th APG meeting. You only need to fill out the “Lender” section on the first page, sign the “Loan of Artwork” page, and list your piece(s) on the last page. If you won’t be able to attend the meeting please contact us in advance to make other arrangements for form drop off.
